Rippling Adds New Corporate Credit Card Feature
Corporate credit card access will now be automated thanks to a new partnership between Rippling and Brex. Rippling’s HR and benefits platform now allows employers to automatically enable or disable employee access to corporate credit cards during on- and offboarding.
“With this new integration, companies that use Rippling can improve employees’ onboarding experience while reducing administrative busywork,” said Parker Conrad, the founder and CEO of Rippling, in a statement.
Brex is a financial services and technology company, which provides corporate credit cards to employers and startups. Credit cards are available both virtually and physically through the platform. The tool is currently being used by online grocer Farmstead.
“By combining the ingenuity of Rippling’s automated employee onboarding with Brex’s instant signup and card issuance technology, companies can easily scale their payments programs, reduce manual workflows, and increase control,” said Henrique Dubugras, co-founder and co-CEO of Brex.
Rippling boasts a number of integrations already, including Slack, G Suite and Salesforce, among others. In September, the firm opened up its platform to all U.S. benefits brokers and launched a new broker partner program which includes cost savings for advisers and clients, and one-on-one support, among other services.
“[Brokers] believe — from the second you get on the phone call — that we know how to build software that’s going to win,” Conrad told Employee Benefit Adviser in September. “They want to be able to win against some of the modern all-in-one systems.”
Employers can use Brex and Rippling to establish criteria for which employees are eligible for a corporate credit card. New employees who fit the predetermined standards are then automatically added to the account, the companies said. Employers also have the ability to suspend or lock cards using the system.
